BCS is RADventure’s application to support Breast Cancer Screening programs.

BCS facilitates the entire process. It starts with retrieving and managing demographic data from possibly scattered population databases. It will compose and prepare invitations for women eligible for screening, maximizing the uptake through smart business rules, based on years of experience. BCS will then manage the logistics for examinations and reading by technicians and radiologist in an extremely efficient way to save valuable resources and equipment-usage and to minimize lead-times. Results are communicated to clients and general practitioners in a careful process to minimize psychological and social consequences. Finally referrals for further treatment are generated and follow up activities are being monitored.

Through the entire process, BCS exchanges information with public registers, hospital information systems, a range of equipment from any vendor and image databases (PACS-systems) using standard transactions and procedures (HL7, based on IHE profiles, DICOM). BCS will provide you with flexible reporting and with logistic and clinical key-performance indicators. It’s web-based approach supports mobile screening and remote reading and the central planning is able to support any organizational structure.

The BCS Solution supports the EUREF European guidelines for quality assurance in breast cancer screening and diagnosis (4th Edition).
These guidelines aim to raise quality standards by bringing together at EU level the best examples from regional and national breast cancer screening programmes over the last 20 years.
They are a manual for health professionals and advocates everywhere, describing best practice evolving from regional and national breast cancer screening programmes based on mammography.
